Nearest Netflix shipping facility Aug03 '05

Tell me... what’s the point of a mailbox, when the items only get sent to one location, anyway?

To Netflix customer support:

Hi, I live in Park Ridge, IL, and my Netflix return envelopes state "Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility."

However, if I go out of town on vacation, I like to bring my movies with, and then return them using the local mailboxes in that city.

I’ve noticed my movies still ship all the way back to my hometown - rather than the nearest Netflix shipping facility - in the town with the mailbox that I use.

So, rather than one day returns, it takes 5-7 days.

Is this normal? Am I to expect this, whenever I ship my movies from a different city?
