PayPal surveys against Google Aug08 '05
Michelle went to a survey this evening, for PayPal. I wish I would have joined her.
I’m intrigued by it because of all the rumors about Google Wallet.
I messaged Shell, asking her to question them about how they are planning to compete with Google, but she got my message after the meeting was over. I would have liked to have known their answer.
After the meeting, I asked what PayPal had asked her. She said they never mentioned Google, and they just questioned the participants on how they used PayPal, and to try to come up with a slogan for PayPal Mobile - which was purely just for fun.
Shell didn’t like some of the proposed slogans, by other participants. She said one of them was, "Leave your wallet at home."
To the point, sure. But it could use some work.
Shell is an advertising major, so she might take a stab at coming up with a campaign for PayPal, since it would be good practice for her portfolio.
Overall, I’m intrigued by a Google application, allowing you to handle, manage, and distribute money. Despite my earlier pessimism, I am all for it. I like change.
