In 1492 Columbus gave me the Netflix blues Oct10 '05
Yes, you guessed it. I’m here to complain (once again) about a silly, age-old holiday - where some legend named Christopher Columbus "happened upon" America’s shores, despite the fact that some claim he wasn’t really the first one here.
In any case, I wonder if he knew that my Netflix DVD’s won’t see the light of day - all day - as they weigh down that corner mailbox, near my house.
I suppose it’s pretty pathetic of me, on this supposed "reflective" holiday for America, to complain about some "self-absorbed" DVD service - one of which is susceptible to government holidays.
And I guess I’m not really complaining, only mentioning. And I guess this entry really has no point.
But at least you know I’m thinking about it.
