iWork and iLife ‘06 Jan14 '06
I picked up my copies of both iWork and iLife ’06, at an Apple store, this afternoon.
I am excited at this update - mainly for the software Pages, Keynote, and GarageBand. I don’t use iPhoto a whole lot, nor iDVD or iMovie - but it’s nice to have them around.
I am also intrigued with iWeb - in combination with my .Mac account.
Actually, I am still hoping that Apple comes out with a Microsoft Excel equivalent - and I thought it would be happening soon, but I guess not yet. I heard word that an Apple version of Excel could be called "Numbers," but don’t hold that to me.
Installation notes, for those curious... iLife took over an hour to install. Maybe it is the slower processing power of my current Mac (only 867 MHz), or maybe it is like that for everyone.
Anyway, I can’t wait to try out the new software!
