My favorite Pepper for Mint Feb20 '06

I use Mint as my main "stats program" for my blog. My blog is for fun, so truthfully, the stats are just for fun too - but it’s great to see who links here, visits here, and much more.

The best thing about Mint is that it’s open source, meaning I have access to all of the files, and the database. I can write my own database queries to find more "detailed" or "specific" information - any time I want.

Also, I can develop my own Pepper programs, and release them to the public, for their use within Mint, too!

There are dozens of Pepper’s available, especially at Peppermint Tea, and more hit the web each month.

My favorite Pepper, so far, is called Outclicks. "Outclicks" works like "Referrers," in reverse. It tracks visitors who leave your site, by specifying which link they used to leave.

This is really cool, when you start to see results:

You’ll start to notice a lot of entries you’ve forgot about - and the valuable links those entries contained.

Mint is very sweet!
