Paintball this Saturday May03 '06
This Saturday I will be participating in my first-ever Paintball game, with co-workers.
I am both nervous and excited.
I am nervous because I’ve never played it before, and doing something "new" always takes a slight adjustment, or "learning curve." I’m not entirely sure what to expect for my first time.
I am excited because I know I will do well, once I "get the hang of it." I am pretty athletic and quick, so I don’t think I’ll suffer in that department. It’s just the technique I need to get down.
The best part about Paintball is that you can just "let loose."
It also seems we have some arrogant workers here, who think they will "take control," and a few of us are making sure that won’t happen. We’re getting the adrenaline flowing already three days before the actual game.
I recall the Six Feet Under episode where David and Keith went to a paintball game, and it was rather funny how serious Keith took it.
Here’s where we’re playing, and the associated web site. Looks to be out "in the middle of nowhere."
I’ll have to leave at 7 AM, to get there by 8.
Looks to be a fun day.
