Yeah I agree. There's way too much "stuff" included in iTunes. It used to be a simple music app that ripped your music in, and helped create smart playlists. Now there's TV shows, movies, podcasts, sports - too much going on.

That's the exact reason why I reverted back to Winamp. It's just a multimedia app that dedicates itself to playing music/videos rather than flogging music/videos off too.
iTunes, as you said, is just cluttered with junk. I hate junk.

This is a brief explanation on why I lost interest in Apple’s iTunes software.

As a media player, iTunes was undoubtedly the best available app. This is no more. With their release of iTunes 7, Apple have stuffed up the former features that made it a great app. For example, it uses up more CPU load than ever before.
One thing I like to do is play games and listen to music. iTunes was my chosen app, because it was easier to search for music. Now, the new loads cause music to skip and cut out.
It's a real shame, hopefully Apple aren't reaching a stage where they add "sexy" new features that have little point and chew up your CPU.
iTunes 7 killed iTunes.
