One calendar issue (somewhat) resolved Nov24 '06
Earlier I posted the outstanding issues I have with calendar apps iCal and Google Calendar.
It turns out one of those issues is (somewhat) resolved.
In Google Calendar, if you subscribe to a non-Google Calendar calendar (such as an iCal on a separate web server), there doesn't seem to be a way to "sync changes" from within Google Calendar.
It turns out Google Calendar does sync with an external calendar, but there's no manual push for that. In other words, there's no button or link that says something like: "Sync Changes," or "Refresh."
Instead, the "sync" happens at an unknown time and interval. I haven't narrowed down when it actually happens, but it does happen. It seems like it's once every 24 hours, but it could be more than that.
The tests I've ran - when I've checked the following day, the changes did come across.
Again, this is when I create and maintain my calendar in iCal, and subscribe to that calendar in Google Calendar.
