ResizR for resizing images online Dec05 '06
Originally found at Lifehacker, ResizR is a great utility for quickly resizing images online.
I'd say 80% of all my Photoshop work is simply going in to resize and crop images.
Now I can at least do the resizing part online. It would be nice if it let you crop images too, but perhaps someday.
This is especially convenient for my MacBook, which won't run the current version of Photoshop. (Adobe is apparently making an Intel version of Photoshop, but it's not expected until the earliest: middle of 2007.)
On the web, I often obtain and resize images of album artwork, specifically for my music section, but also for screenshots in blog entries. Using the Firefox extension for ResizR, all I have to do is right-click on the image, and choose ResizR Image:

It then takes me to the ResizR web page, and asks what width I'd like for the image.

Once I set the width, the resizing only takes a few seconds, and that's it!
