Annoying office interruptions Dec12 '06
The most annoying sounds/interruptions, heard frequently throughout my workplace:
- The vacuum cleaner.
- A pencil sharpener.
- A large group of people laughing at once.
- The sound of someone chewing (their lunch, etc), right next to you.
- Co-workers who talk as loud as possible on the phone, or insist on using speaker-phone for the entire conversation.
- Co-workers who use speaker-phone to listen to all of their voicemails.
- People using the paging system to constantly page others! (Just get up and go talk to them! Sheesh!)
- People who simply shout, rather than talk (the guy is standing right next to you - you don't have to shout).
- Being able to hear the low scratching of someones music through their headphones.
- The doorbell (if your office has one for visitors).
- My own telephone!
Should I just live in a bubble?
