Big Ten Tournament: Day 2 Mar10 '07

Iowa heads to the locker room

Day 1 was all about:

Day 2 was all about:

Distractions

Volunteering at the Big Ten Tournament, there's always something to look at.

From the players' hotels, to the hallways and back rooms of the United Center, people are constantly coming and going. It's a constant influx of movement. But keep your eyes open - you never know who you'll see.

It is sometimes exhausting just trying to watch everyone. The media, players, coaches, cheerleaders, bands, staff - so many individuals walking to and from.

And on the court, the movement doesn't stop. The fast-paced basketball game is another "workout for your eyes."

My eyes are typically used to staring at one thing for the majority of the day: the computer or television screen.

These last few days have been a major workout for my eyes, which could be a good thing.

Saturday's agenda

Saturday is here, and that means I made it through the long and winding Friday. I was so tired by 7 PM last night, I almost took a nap in the Bulls locker room, away from the noise and lights.

Sleep is certainly not something that is in plentiful amounts, during the Big Ten Tournament. Too many long hours and distractions.

Today I feel a little better, and it looks to be much more relaxed, as I have no specific duties on schedule. Rather, I am taking Michelle to sit court-side for today's doubleheader:

Two marquee matchups. One great city. You can't beat that.

If we're not too tired by 7 PM tonight, Michelle and I will be heading down to Navy Pier for the Big Ten celebration, sponsored by Bud Light (which there will be plenty of).

Dozens more photos to come...
