Shared RSS feeds Oct17 '07
The other day Andy prompted me to view his "Apple"-labeled RSS feeds, using iGoogle (Google personalized home page). Using iGoogle, you can share each of your custom tabs:

This is a nice way to obtain some new feeds from other like-minded individuals - feeds for sites that you may not have known about.
It led me to consider a feature that is not yet in existence in current feed readers: the ability to create a shared RSS stream, in which each participant can adjust, compare, and contrast each of the feeds.
It would be a collaborative portal, where participants can stay "in sync" with each other's reading habits. It could develop into a social networking environment, where feeds gain importance by the number of subscribers, etc.
Could this be useful? I don't know. Part of it sounds superfluous, since "feed reading" is typically a personal thing. It would be like creating a shared email account.
